Disposition of non-conforming material and elevate preventive action initiatives internally and with suppliers.
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, tooling, assembly fixtures and procedures.
Implement Lean manufacturing principles. Reduce waste, create material flow, 5S initiatives, lead continuous improvement projects, etc.
Work closely with engineering and other cross-functional teams to provide relevant input to deploy new products for manufacturability.
Analyze and optimize production processes to ensure safety, quality, maximize yield, and improve capacity in cost-effective means.
Lead implementation of Engineering Changes to ensure a smooth transition between revisions.
Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications and standards are achieved. Do it right the first-time mentality.
Work with production staff to identify opportunities for design changes for existing products that would enable better manufacturability and cost reduction.
Review current state process, identify bottlenecks and implement changes to create flow.
Lead quality function deployment activities to ensure Poka yokes are institutionalized in high-risk processes in order to eliminate the risk of poor quality (PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
Study and identify resource needs, ergonomic solutions, tooling, and fixtures.
Utilize Lean methodologies to improve process layouts, material flow, and 8 waste reductions.
Create and maintain manufacturing instructions, method sheets or standard work, and routings for associated processes.
