Tasks
-Assist with the creation of project specific Quality Management Plans and verify implementation of plan for each project. -Implement and maintain the Corporate Quality Management Program across all areas of the business and ensure compliance. -Assist with the development of Quality metrics that empower teams to review information on quality execution; work cross-functionally with operations to address any trends. -Act as a resource for field operations with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements as well as local quality regulations including: ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, and FBC. -Conduct random site evaluations, including follow-up evaluations to ensure corrections have been made to deficiencies. -Stay abreast of trends and evolving best practices by participating in organizations and forums dedicated to Quality. Keep the Company informed of the latest updates on best practices and standards. -Expand and Develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality associated with delivering a completed construction project. -Manage a team of Quality Managers and/or professionals to execute the administrative tasks related to reporting site evaluations, quality reporting requirements, and site specific quality planning. -Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and quality issues across project teams and among all quality personnel. -Build effective working relationships with clients, trade partners, and the Suffolk project team members. -Represent Suffolk with Owners, Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors. -Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations, Quality Department Staff, and Subcontractors.

-A strong sense of urgency and initiative, and the ability to quickly study and react to complex issues, and resolve conflict effectively in a firm but fair manner. -Excellent management skills to effectively manage subcontractor performance to high quality. -Excellent organizational skills to manage the many details necessary for successful construction. -Working knowledge of national and State code and quality regulations/standards. -Must have judgment to know when to appropriately escalate issues up the chain of command. -The ability to become part of a team and embraces the team concept. -Solid understanding of means and methods of construction -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Management or demonstrated equivalent field. -Accurate with an attention to detail. -5 plus years of experience in related construction fields. -Candidate must possess Suffolk Construction’s core values: passion, integrity, hard work and professionalism. -Self-motivated and self-confident. -Able to constantly multi-task and handle competing priorities between Suffolk Construction project needs and non-critical review of incomplete work assignments while maintaining excellent customer relations. -Must possess effective and strong communication skills. -Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry
