Description

The Day Porter is responsible for keeping common areas of office buildings, apartments, and other commercial or institutional properties clean and orderly. Duties include routine cleaning of lobbies, elevators, restrooms, trash areas, and exterior spaces, as well as reporting any safety or security concerns to management.

• Spot clean lobby glass doors and remove smudges from walls and door surfaces.
• Empty and clean interior and exterior trash receptacles, ashtrays, and sand urns on each floor.
• Sweep stairwells, landings, building entrances, and landscaped areas as needed.
• Inspect building exterior, report out‑of‑order lights and unsolicited vendors to management.
• Assist the building engineer daily at management’s discretion.
• Follow safety and security procedures and report hazards promptly.

Requirements

The role requires reliable attendance, punctuality, and adherence to safety and security procedures. The porter works under the direction of management and may assist the building engineer as needed, demonstrating dependability and a commitment to completing tasks on time.
