• Collect and analyze customers' financial information to assess loan qualification.
• Advise borrowers on risks and benefits of loan alternatives.

• Obtain and verify all documentation required for loan approval.
• Communicate and manage relationships with homebuyer, advisors, processing, underwriting, closing, title company, and builder partner.
• Perform rate lock functions and negotiate interest rates within pricing parameters.
• Manage personal production and ensure timely closings.
• Meet or exceed company benchmarks set by leadership.
• Attend required weekly meetings.
• Use the Automated Underwriting System to submit loans for underwriting.
• Stay current on all loan products, attend continuing education, and pass required exams.
• Support mortgage-related training initiatives across Tri Pointe Connect and Tri Pointe Homes.
• Take on new responsibilities as directed by leadership.

Requirements

Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is seeking an experienced Loan Officer to join our talented group in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role focuses on building and growing relationships with New Home Advisors in each community while identifying and maintaining customers’ financing objectives. You will advise borrowers on product, pricing, policies, and guidelines while ensuring compliance with FHA, VA, and Conventional loan requirements. The position works on-site with the builder partner and participates in regular meetings with New Home Advisors.

The ideal candidate holds at least a bachelor's degree (preferred) and brings 3–5 years of processing or origination experience, preferably in a builder environment. An active NMLS Utah MLO license, thorough knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional loans, and familiarity with loan origination and automated underwriting systems are required. Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office, are essential.

The role demands multitasking in a high‑pace environment, managing a large pipeline of loans, and meeting or exceeding company benchmarks. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, combined with organization and attention to detail, are critical for success. Team collaboration is valued, yet the ability to work independently is also important.
