Coordinate with the business development department in the preparation of proposal documents.
Maintain district standards for control budgets and develop project level staffing plan to ensure the project has adequate support after award.
Implement and oversee district estimating program and activities including the development of policies and procedures.
Assist district manager in the review of all estimates; arrange and coordinate second estimates, maintain past cost history and comparable details.
Prepare recaps, pricing sheets, bid forms, and other proposal documents for in-house review and bid submittal.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Ensure training of all new graduates is scheduled for engineers in estimating and Field Engineer duties.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Provide estimating support for numerous projects, perform quantity takeoffs, and solicit, evaluate, and incorporate vendor or manufacturer material and subcontract pricing.
Maintain training program for estimating staff, update and maintain lead estimator and sponsor manuals, and supervise district scheduling department.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
Familiarity with power feeders, controls and signal systems for industrial applications.
Experience in estimating industrial electrical installations, such as water/wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, and battery storage facilities.
Regular, reliable attendance
Ability to travel when necessary for pre-bid job walks and bid reviews
Strong work ethic and interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Experience with standard office computer software
Results-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
Experience with Accubid Anywhere and Bluebeam is preferred.
5+ years of estimating experience
Ability to work on a team as well as work independently with little or no supervision
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
