Stock Condition Surveyor (Dwellings)

Description

• Report any risks, safeguarding concerns, or urgent issues immediately.
• Conduct surveys on flats, houses, maisonettes, and bungalows.
• Follow photo schedules accurately and maintain high-quality records.
• Capture all components, attributes, HHSRS indicators, and RdSAP evidence.
• Upload completed surveys and documentation within agreed timeframes.
• Assess property conditions against Decent Homes and safety standards.
• Use tablet-based or mobile survey software to complete on-site data collection.

We are building a specialist talent pool of Stock Condition Surveyors to support large-scale housing programmes across a wide range of residential dwellings in South London. This role is ideal for surveyors with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to engage professionally with residents.

Experience Required

• Confident in assessing risks and making sound judgements
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• HHSRS & Decent Homes understanding
• Membership with an accreditation body (Elmhurst, Stroma, ECMK, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Full driving licence
• Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification
• Familiarity with RdSAP 10.2
• Professional conduct with residents in occupied homes
• DBS completed within the last 12 months
• High level of professionalism, communication, and reliability
• Strong understanding of building fabric, housing standards, and domestic property construction.
• Previous use of mobile data capture tools or tablet-based survey systems.
• Experience in residential stock condition surveying.
• Safeguarding course (or willingness to complete training)
