The coordinator will act as the go‑to marketing resource for technical staff, lead strategic planning for pursuits and proposals, facilitate capture planning, coordinate business development activities, craft non‑technical content, assist with interview and client presentation preparation, and mentor regional marketing specialists while maintaining the company’s marketing database.
SWCA is looking for an experienced Marketing and Proposal Coordinator to join the Marketing and Pursuit Resources team supporting the Midwest/Northeast sub‑region, which includes seven offices across the Northern Midwest and Northeastern United States. The team provides local operations with marketing, business development, and pursuit/proposal support, and the coordinator will lead pursuit development and assist business development activities across multiple industries.
The role is a full‑time, regular salaried position with benefits. Candidates are preferred to live near one of the Midwest/Northeast offices (Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Amherst, or Portland, ME) and may work in a hybrid model, though highly qualified applicants may be considered for remote work within the sub‑region. Occasional travel to offices and overtime, including evenings or weekends, may be required to meet deadlines.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, business, marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), at least five years of proposal development experience, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, writing, proofreading, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead processes, collaborate with diverse colleagues, and manage multiple fast‑paced projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred qualifications include experience in the A/E/C or environmental consulting sectors, prior collaboration with business development on capture planning, involvement in professional associations, knowledge of local environmental consulting markets, and familiarity with Deltek Vision, Vantagepoint, or similar CRM systems, especially within the Midwest/Northeast region.
