Responsible for the preventative maintenance and corrective repairs of HVAC equipment, air handling units (AHUs), dehumidification units, heating, and cooling system (boiler, chiller, and cooling tower) and commercial refrigeration equipment or rack refrigeration system including refrigerated cooler and freezer, walk in coolers and freezers and self-contained refrigerated units.
Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment, commercial refrigeration systems, calibrate instruments, gauges, and control components.
Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repairs records as required.
Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks and maintain good inventory of parts in service vehicle. Utilizes CMMS to manage work orders and track completion.
Oversees and inspects the work performed by third party vendors.
Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

CO2 commercial refrigeration system experience preferred.
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic – the individual must possess a Journeyman Certificate or Individuals holding a recognized trade credential from another Canadian province or territory (313A or Red Seal Endorsements) with 4-5 years related experience.
Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
