Knowledge of prehistoric and historic material culture
Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology/archaeology or related field, or combination of education and experience
Frequent outoftown travel, potentially for extended periods of time
Qualified applicants should exhibit strong technical skills, good communication skills, and feel comfortable making decisions in the field
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience on Phase I survey projects
Experience in Phase II testing or Phase III data recovery projects preferred
Fulltime, professional experience conducting archaeological survey and excavation
Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and be able to operate motorized vehicles
Must be able to pass preemployment and postemployment checks as needed, including background checks and drug tests
Previous experience with mapping equipment and other special application equipment (e.g., emlid, digital data collection, etc.)
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks in remote areas and/or humid continental climate, including walking, hiking, carrying heavy loads, and digging
Successful completion of an archeology field school
