Weston is seeking a Senior Air Scientist to support scheduled and time-critical responses to site-related environmental issues, including disaster/emergency response, environmental investigations, and remedial alternative analysis. This individual will serve as a project leader, supervising junior air science professionals and technicians, and will be responsible for developing and implementing sampling/monitoring and data collection plans. Proficiency in multi-media, multi-matrix sampling techniques and associated analytical methods is essential.
U.S. Citizenship Required
- Experience preparing Site-Specific Quality Assurance Project Plans and Technical Reports.
- Knowledge of vapor intrusion sampling using summa canisters and Tedlar bags.
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Availability for nationwide emergency response, with travel up to two weeks at a time (approximately 25% annually).
- Proficient in writing technical documents and plans.
- Familiarity with the Incident Command System (ICS), especially ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses (completion is a plus).
- Ability to work in PPE Levels D/C/B/A.
- Leadership experience managing up to 10 junior and mid-level air scientists.
- Experience with air monitoring instruments such as AreaRAE, AreaRAE Pro, MultiRAE Pro, SPM Flex, TSI DustTrak, FID/PID, Mercury Analyzers, and data telemetry systems.
- Ability to respond to hazardous material releases and conduct site assessments.
- Minimum of a B.S. Degree and 10 years of recent and relevant experience with air sampling/monitoring protocols (relevant experience may substitute for education).
- Broad knowledge of calibration, maintenance, deployment, use, and data collection for handheld, portable, and transportable air sampling and monitoring devices.
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Familiarity with PPE levels and ability to enter potentially hazardous areas.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to operate equipment using manuals or SOPs.
- Experience in developing and implementing sampling/monitoring and data collection plans.
- Capable of planning and leading site-wide environmental investigations.
- Skilled in preparing technical reports and performing desktop reviews of historical site data.
- Proficiency with field instrumentation, including calibration, field implementation, and result interpretation.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of an Operations Coordinator and Program Manager.

Salary Range: $67,343-$88,868-$110,290
