What you would be doing

Work in a team setting with other employees, tradesmen, and management.
Report all noncompliance production and quality metrics to shift supervisor in a timely manner.
Ensure all machine settings are within the specified range for the product being made, utilizing set up sheets.
Perform routine maintenance tasks in your assigned area using powered and non-powered hand tools.
Perform various non-routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks during planned and unplanned machine downtime.
Comply with all plant safety and health requirements, including the correct use of PPE.
Ensure proper adjustments are made to correct production issues as they arise.
Operate a forklift in compliance with IKO standards.
Organize and practice good housekeeping of work area, tools, and parts.
Ensure proper raw materials are staged and have enough for the shift.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in medium to heavy industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
Experience with Statistical Process Control charting.
Experience with standard computer applications.
Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
Prior experience working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule preferred.
Good communication skills; Fluent in English - Reading, Writing and Speaking
Successfully complete all documentation required for your assigned area (start of shift, during shift, end of shift).
Experience with Human Machine Interface control screens.
Ability to follow directions and specific instructions.
Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity and attention to detail
Qualified to run four (4) production line job functions (Winder, Fiber Feeder, Re-winder, Dry End Utility)
Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
