As a Tool Hire Assistant you will ensure customers receive safe, well‑maintained equipment and excellent service. The role requires you to drive a 3.5‑tonne van to deliver and collect orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential. It is a full‑time position, Monday‑Friday 07:00‑16:30 or 07:30‑17:00, with every other Saturday working 08:00‑12:00.
You will manage day‑to‑day tool hire activities, deploying resources for efficient and safe operations and building strong relationships through regular customer interaction. Delivering and collecting orders on time, you will ensure accuracy and secure loading and unloading in line with company procedures. You will conduct pre‑delivery checks, complete paperwork, and maintain accurate records. In addition, you will inspect, test and carry out basic repairs on a range of tools and small plant.
