Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

• Process vendor invoices and related documentation; maintain accurate AP subledgers per GAAP.
• Code, approve, and post invoices promptly.
• Review contracts and purchase orders for correct cost recognition.
• Build and maintain positive vendor relationships, resolving billing/payment issues.
• Manage AP workflows and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOPs.
• Coordinate financial inquiries and reporting with location leadership, Regional Accounting, and Corporate Finance.
• Participate in audits, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain AP documentation aligning with Bravas accounting policies.
• Collaborate professionally with cross‑functional teams.
• Work with the nation’s leader in smart home integration.

Requirements

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a remote position based in Austin, TX, supporting one or more Bravas locations and the Corporate Finance Department. This role manages all aspects of the AP function, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment preparation, and compliance with GAAP and company policy. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment, with strong communication skills and a proactive problem‑solving approach.

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Accounts Payable experience in a multi‑location or growth‑oriented organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and standard AP procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with NetSuite or QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Proven success in identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Familiarity with financial systems integration and reporting workflows.
• Exposure to luxury design/build community and sales career growth.
