Construction Manager (Civil Focus)

Description

• Manage multiple contractors and keep everyone aligned and moving.
• Ensure compliance with PUK QHSE standards and permit-to-work controls.
• Review and approve method statements, lifting plans, work packs etc.
• Maintain close communication with project stakeholders.
• Ensure work is delivered safely, to schedule and to the required spec.
• Lead and coordinate all site-based construction activities.
• Oversee handover to mechanical completion / commissioning.
• Chair / attend progress and construction coordination meetings.

Requirements

The project involves civil excavations, HDD work, steel line pulls, mechanical pipework installation and associated works — so we need someone who’s been in the thick of this type of environment before and knows how to run a site properly.

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a strong civils background to support a major Pipeline Improvement Project at Wytch Farm.

• Temporary Works Co-ordinator (minimum)
• Solid understanding of Control of Work, PTW and site safety
• Experience working in environmentally sensitive areas
• HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
• Oil & Gas / Petrochemical background preferred (not a dealbreaker if the civils experience is strong)
• Strong leadership and contractor management skills
• Confident reading & understanding construction drawings

This role is Inside IR35, Day rate and as no lodge is to be paid you must either live within a daily commutable distance or be happy to relocate for contract duration.
