The Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing small to moderate construction projects under general supervision. This role ensures that contractor activities are planned and executed safely and efficiently, working closely with contractors to schedule daily field tasks and logistical operations. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all contractor activities, monitors performance against contract milestones, and develops work‑around plans to resolve conflicts or delays.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Construction Science, Building Science, or a related field is preferred. No specific licensing is needed. Candidates must have at least five years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of company standards, engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes. Key abilities include managing client relationships, communicating expectations clearly, setting priorities, and handling stress with poise. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, along with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment.
