The assistant will handle resident relations from onboarding through move‑out, respond to concerns, manage the move‑in experience, and oversee leasing‑office logistics such as supplies and marketing support. Financial duties include resident billing, ledger accuracy, delinquency follow‑up, legal notices, collections, budget tracking, invoice processing, write‑offs and evictions. The role also partners with the Community Manager to onboard leasing staff, assist with tours, coordinate community promotions, and propose performance‑enhancing ideas. Compliance tasks involve staying up‑to‑date with housing laws, tracking lease violations, maintaining resident files, and supporting audit readiness and affordable‑housing compliance.
We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Assistant Community Manager to support day‑to‑day operations at one of our garden‑style communities. The role serves as the primary point of contact for residents, ensures smooth office functioning, and works closely with the Community Manager to create a place people are proud to call home.
Candidates need at least two years of property‑management experience or a similar assistant community manager role, strong knowledge of landlord‑tenant laws, excellent customer‑service and communication skills, high attention to detail in billing and reporting, and proficiency with property‑management software such as Yardi or OneSite. Strong time‑management, a solutions‑first attitude, and a team mindset are essential; a high school diploma is required, with additional education a plus.
$23‑$25 hourly with a delinquency bonus and leasing/renewal commissions. Employees enjoy competitive pay, growth opportunities, a team‑first high‑energy environment, paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and ongoing learning and development.
