The Senior Program Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing maintenance programs that support the Maintenance Department. While the role covers a broad set of duties, the specialist typically focuses on a primary area such as analyst support, core department functions, committee participation, business analysis, or special projects. The position can also serve as a backup Front Line Supervisor and contribute to the Emergency Response Organization.
Key duties include coordinating core department functions (inspection readiness, performance indicator generation, website updates, knowledge‑transfer oversight, and daily planning), performing analyst tasks for self‑assessments and benchmarking, supporting a variety of Clean Energy Center committees, handling contract administration and budget responsibilities, and overseeing special projects and contract personnel.
Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combinations such as a Senior Reactor Operator license with five years, an associate’s degree with seven years, or a high school diploma/GED with nine years. Candidates must meet access requirements and pass a favorable medical examination.
Preferred qualifications include at least eight years of utility or related‑industry experience, training in corrective action and root‑cause analysis, a Root Cause Evaluator certification, and solid knowledge of contract administration and budgeting.
