Asset Manager – Utility-Scale Renewable Energy

The Asset Manager will be responsible for maximizing the financial and operational performance of utility-scale renewable energy assets (solar, wind, and/or storage). This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing stakeholder relationships, and implementing strategies to optimize asset value throughout its lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and environmental standards.
• Track revenue streams, expenses, and variances against budget.
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance.
• Implement asset optimization strategies, including technology upgrades and efficiency improvements.
• Support repowering or life-extension initiatives.
• Coordinate with O&M providers to ensure optimal availability and reliability.
• Manage contractual obligations under PPAs, financing agreements, and service contracts.
• Monitor and analyze plant performance against KPIs and contractual guarantees.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost reduction.
• Manage corrective and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Act as the primary point of contact for investors, lenders, and off-takers.
• Prepare and deliver performance reports to stakeholders.
• Manage insurance claims and risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling for asset portfolios.

Requirements

• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, ERP systems).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in asset management, operations, or financial management within renewable energy or power generation.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and performance metrics.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with utility-scale solar, wind, or storage projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
