A global engineering & nuclear services firm delivering end‑to‑end infrastructure and energy solutions.
Key responsibilities include full‑cycle capital cost development for all estimate classes—Conceptual, Order of Magnitude, Prefeasibility, Feasibility, and Definitive—using AACE International guidelines. The estimator will apply industry‑approved methodologies, perform multidisciplinary estimating for site development, processing facilities, and support infrastructure, and develop sustaining‑capital, reclamation, and closure estimates.
The position requires maintaining and contributing to unit‑rate databases, establishing labor rates and productivity factors for greenfield, brownfield, and operating plant environments, and routinely benchmarking key performance metrics. Responsibilities also cover indirect cost development, deterministic and probabilistic contingency analysis, and preparation of comprehensive Estimating Plans and Basis of Estimate documents.
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join an experienced team focused on surface mining projects, including processing plants and related infrastructure for clients across North America. The role involves full‑cycle capital cost estimate development, supported by the Estimating Manager, and can be based anywhere within the United States.
Collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams is essential; the estimator will coordinate inputs, manage design and project change notices, and implement coding structures such as Work Breakdown Structures, Commodity Resource Coding, and work packaging. Advanced Microsoft Excel functions are used to manage, trend, reconcile, and benchmark large data sets, supporting continuous improvement of estimating procedures.
Ideal candidates possess 8–10 years of progressive experience developing capital cost estimates for mining projects, with exposure to commodities such as gold, copper, lithium, and others. Experience in carbon‑capture, decarbonisation, or green ammonia projects, as well as proficiency with estimating software and advanced Excel/Access programming, is considered an asset. A four‑year engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety are required.
The role demands strong written and oral communication, the ability to present estimates to internal and external stakeholders, flexibility to work remotely or on‑site, and the willingness to visit project or construction sites. Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities are essential for success.

The company is an equal‑opportunity, drug‑free employer that values diversity, privacy, and sustainability, with remote work options and a global footprint in engineering services and nuclear projects.
