- Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups in a timely and efficient manner.
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption and travel time.
- Maintain effective communication with drivers, providing them with necessary instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to dispatching operations.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and promptly.
- Assist in the coordination of vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with the transportation team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Coordinate with customers, drivers, and internal departments to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Collect and document relevant information, such as delivery confirmations, customer feedback, and driver performance data.
- Monitor and track the progress of deliveries, resolving any issues or delays that may occur.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
- Proven experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar logistics role.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dispatching software and transportation management systems. Solid knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with geographic locations and routing strategies.
