  • Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption and travel time.
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers, providing them with necessary instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to dispatching operations.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Assist in the coordination of vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with customers, drivers, and internal departments to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Collect and document relevant information, such as delivery confirmations, customer feedback, and driver performance data.
  • Monitor and track the progress of deliveries, resolving any issues or delays that may occur.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.

  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unexpected situations efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Proven experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar logistics role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using dispatching software and transportation management systems. Solid knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with geographic locations and routing strategies.
