The Accounts Payable Manager leads the A/P function, reporting to the Financial Controller, and is responsible for the end‑to‑end A/P process, team leadership, monthly reporting, and system support. The role oversees the processing of more than 6,500 invoices each month, ensures internal controls, drives performance metrics, and delivers high‑quality service to internal branches and external vendors. Continuous improvement, automation initiatives, and cross‑functional collaboration with Accounts Receivable and Financial Accounting are central to the position.
- Lead and develop a 4‑5 person Accounts Payable team, conducting performance reviews and fostering a culture of accuracy.
- Serve as primary liaison for A/P inquiries, delivering timely responses and managing issue resolution within SLAs.
- Oversee processing of 6,500+ invoices monthly, maintain vendor master data in JD Edwards, and implement internal control procedures.
- Monitor KPIs, conduct root‑cause analysis of discrepancies, and report performance to the Financial Controller.
- Ensure month‑end close accuracy, reconcile the A/P subledger to the General Ledger, and account for maintenance, installation, and corporate invoices.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation tools to streamline the Procure‑to‑Pay cycle.
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Financial Accounting teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, with at least six years of experience managing accounts payable in a large‑scale organization. Required expertise includes GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, JD Edwards, and the ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a customer‑first culture. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this high‑visibility role.
