What you would be doing

Evaluate market revenue potential and work with energy markets to develop project revenue forecasts.
Communicate key deal points and present recommendations to executive management.
Travel to customer meetings and relevant industry conferences.
Create new and build upon existing key relationships with utilities, CCAs, and take-off partners.
Role would focus on PPA opportunities in the western United States with emphasis on CAISO market.
Coordinate with development, finance, engineering and other departments to develop solutions for customers, including assisting in the development of proposals and pricing for opportunities
Negotiation of power contracts with counterparties in collaboration with stakeholders from functions across the organization (Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Finance, Operations)
Work closely with origination team with the objective of sourcing, negotiating and executing Purchase Power Agreements (PPAs) and other complex power off-take arrangements in the solar power industry.
Negotiate and close PPAs with large utility and other target customers.

Solid understanding of economic drivers for renewable energy projects.
MBA and three years of experience in the position or a related position.
Must have three years of experience in long term energy procurement structures and technologies.
Excellent personal organizational, pattern recognition, and negotiation skills.
Must have knowledge of regulatory policies, rates and tariffs and electric transmission.
Alternatively, must have Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or foreign equivalent degree plus eight years of progressive experience in power (energy) markets.
