The Senior Account Manager – India is responsible for developing sales within an assigned territory by maintaining constant contact with customers and prospecting new business opportunities. The role includes presenting the company's products and programs to existing customers, setting and managing sales and expense budgets, and exercising independent judgment with minimal supervision.
Key duties involve establishing territory goals, traveling extensively—often internationally—to meet customers and assess market conditions, and cultivating customer relationships through prompt communication. The manager must possess a thorough understanding of product lines, monitor customer sales performance, and prepare weekly business reports outlining conditions and actions required to meet targets.
Additional responsibilities include communicating competitive conditions and company programs, entertaining clients at lunches, dinners, or industry events, and analyzing and controlling expenditures to stay within budgetary limits.
Physical requirements consist of operating a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license, undertaking long‑distance air travel, and lifting product samples weighing 30‑50 pounds.
Other mandatory qualifications are a valid Indian passport, development of foreign language skills, strong organizational abilities to set and measure business goals and budgets, adherence to a professional dress code, and proficiency with a calculator, personal computer, cellular phone, and fax machine.
The candidate must have proven sales experience, familiarity with international business and manufacturing processes, and will attend a two‑week training program in Dalton, Georgia at the start of employment, with additional training as required.
Safety and security expectations include wearing a seat belt while driving, complying with local laws in India and abroad, using proper lifting techniques, following manufacturer guidelines for equipment, and adhering to all company safety rules.
