The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. Leasing Associates handle lease signings and act as a landlord for property owners.
- Respond to telephone and internet inquiries to schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
- Greet and qualify prospects using Lead Management Software, assist with applications and deposits while adhering to Fair Housing requirements.
- Maintain an updated availability report, process applications with credit checks and rental‑history verification, and submit them for approval.
- Obtain Community Manager approval and follow up with applicants on their status.
- Show apartments, close sales, prepare units for move‑ins, collect resident signatures, and provide community orientation.
- Maintain an active social‑media presence for the property to boost visibility and engagement.
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to complaints, questions, and service requests.
- Conduct all functions needed to close sales, including appointments, lead generation, tours, showroom upkeep, and follow‑up.
- Utilize marketing strategies within budget limits, such as competitive rates, referrals, promotions, and outreach.
- Secure resident retention by planning events, attending after‑hours functions, and hosting as needed.
- Complete all paperwork for lease generation, move‑ins, check‑outs, and peak periods in a timely manner.
- Attend weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure prompt resolution of resident service requests.

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience, and be proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.
The role may require extended periods of sitting, climbing stairs, reading documents and screens, hearing verbal communication, and occasional lifting of items up to 20 lb. Employees must be comfortable using mobile devices and may work both in an office environment and outdoors.
