The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs clerical and physical tasks related to shipping and receiving goods on the installation, reporting to a Lead or Supervisor. The role may also coordinate the activities of other personnel handling shipments, ensuring accurate processing and documentation.
Work is performed in both office settings and field environments as required by mission needs, including nights, weekends, overtime, and occasional travel. Personnel must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and may be exposed to various weather conditions such as rain, wind, heat, and cold.
The position demands regular walking, standing for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb without assistance. Physical stamina is essential for handling and moving shipments safely.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid REAL ID state driver’s license without restrictions, and be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust. Proof of U.S. citizenship and the ability to maintain driving privileges on the Fort Bragg installation are also required.
Applicants should be familiar with Defense Transportation Regulation for cargo movement, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and skilled at prioritizing and multitasking under tight deadlines. Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities are essential.
