Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Description

• Coordinate and attend meetings with clients, consultants, owners, and internal staff members on projects.
• Learn to manage the mechanical engineering of small projects
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses
• Perform space planning, future planning, anticipate mechanical room sizes, and identify conflicts
• Design constant volume and variable volume ductwork systems
• Design heating, ventilating, and air conditioning installations and underground steam, gas, and compressed-air utilities
• Supervise the installation of the above equipment and utilities

Requirements

• Understand mechanical and plumbing system design and applications, and can anticipate what systems are required for different projects
• Engineer in Training certification or the ability to receive within one year
• Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Other relevant programs could include HAP, Trace 700, or Bluebeam
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Experience designing HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection in Revit or AutoCAD.
• Balance workload and varying requirements of multiple projects
