Senior Structural Engineer

Description

• Support BALA’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Provide consultations to clients and prospective clients for structural work.
• Design and serve as, or work with, the structural E.O.R. for building designs of new construction, renovations and additions.

Requirements

Agencies must obtain advance written approval from Bala Consulting Engineer’s HR/Recruiting Department to submit resumes. This approval must be in the form of a valid fully executed contract for service as well as a request to submit candidates to a specific job opening. Bala Consulting Engineers will not pay a fee to any Agency that does not have such agreement in place, or for positions for which candidates have not been specifically requested.

BALA Structures Group is seeking a motivated structural engineer with 10 years of experience for the New York office. Strong interpersonal skills for developing client relationships is a must. We are looking at qualified applicants with diverse backgrounds to help continue to grow the Structures group at Bala.

• Structural Engineering, or Civil Degree with structural emphasis, from an accredited institution.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative work situations.
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Registered EIT with a focus on Structural Engineering; Registered PE preferred
• Capable of working individually, and in a team environment.
• 10+ years experience in structural design of buildings
• Adapt to the varieties of business sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.
