Reporting to the Executive Director, the Food Service Manager provides overall leadership and direction for the Food Service Department, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and high‑quality meals that meet individual dietary needs and promote a positive dining experience. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, and best practices to support resident health, well‑being, and satisfaction.
The position involves both office‑based work and an active presence in all areas of nutrition and food service operations, with hours aligned to meet the home’s operational requirements. The employee must manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting, interact daily with residents, staff, and visitors, and consistently follow infection control, food safety, and occupational health and safety standards.
