- Coordinate with the Technical Assurance Team to ensure designs are verified, validated and configured
- Engage with commercial, procurement, project controls, construction, and HSW teams to resolve technical challenges
- Facilitate collaborative meetings to share best practice, promote innovation and ensure consistency of design
- Ensure third party approvals and requirements are discharged appropriately during the design stage
- Oversee design delivery performance for time, cost, quality and change management
- Interface with internal functions and external partners to ensure project and statutory requirements are fully understood and addressed
- Challenge and support designers to de-risk solutions, drive value engineering, and optimise costs and programme outcomes
- Champion ‘Safe by Design’ principles to enhance health, safety and wellbeing across the project
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, code-compliant Enabling & Earthworks packages
- Define the scope and requirements of design work through to commissioning and handover
