  • Mentor and train field staff
  • Supervise field crews for utility designating and utility test hole projects
  • Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to all locates completed
  • Perform quality control checks of field work for utility designating and test holes
  • Operate different electronic detection equipment, to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
  • Read and interpret utility maps and engineering plans to identify and mark underground utility locations

  • Ability to read and understand directional maps, topographic maps and various types of utility prints
  • Physical demands include extensive walking and bending. The employee must have the ability to open manhole covers and or other structure of varying weights
  • Ability to multi-task, i.e. make research calls for one project while commuting to another project, coordinate with crew members on various jobs
  • 10+ years experience locating utilities
  • Ability to use and interpret various pieces of electromagnetic utility locating equipment
  • Experienced in set-up of traffic control for utility test holes
  • Experienced performing ASCE 38-22 Quality Level A Utility Test Holes and Quality Level B utility designating
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and all types of field conditions
