The role of Workforce Development and Industry Participation Manager is based in Melbourne and reports to the Regional Social Impact Manager. It entails end‑to‑end delivery and reporting of the Social Procurement Framework, Building Equality Policy, and Local Jobs First outcomes, working closely with project leadership teams, subcontractors and external organisations.
In this position you will identify opportunities, develop and implement strategies to achieve targets related to social and local procurement, training, skilling and workforce outcomes. Daily interaction with project engineers, commercial teams, subcontractors and suppliers will be essential to realise workforce participation and social procurement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills, and a strong background on major construction projects with an understanding of operations, subcontractors and suppliers. Experience with Victorian Government policy objectives in the construction industry and strong organisation and administration abilities are also required.
