As Brand Director you will steer creative direction for project engagements, guiding multiple design teams from concept through construction and installation. You will develop overarching design concepts, storytelling frameworks, and presentation strategies while shaping scope, staffing, and process definitions for proposals. Advocacy for diverse perspectives, alignment with sustainability goals, and budget-conscious solutions are core expectations. You will also serve as the primary design interface with clients, consultants, and internal collaborators.
Mentorship is a key component, with responsibility for nurturing Gensler designers, providing creative oversight for several project teams, and identifying talent gaps to retain and recruit future leaders. You will contribute to business development, marketing, and practice‑level messaging, as well as monitor internal processes for efficiency before and after project launches. Analytical skills are required to work with large data sets and leverage analytics tools for insights.
Gensler London is looking for a visionary Brand Director with a strong portfolio in innovative brand design. The role blends strategic thinking with creative execution to elevate design quality and achieve recognition for clients and the firm. You will collaborate across the London office and Europe Region to integrate brand experience strategies into diverse projects.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree from an accredited design or architecture school and brings 15+ years of diverse design experience, including senior leadership of brand design. You must be recognized as an authority in brand design, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and demonstrate urgency, ownership, and the ability to lead teams through all design phases. Strong communication, relationship management, and the capacity to develop training materials are essential. Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Miro, and sketching is required.
Gensler offers comprehensive benefits such as medical and dental insurance, season ticket loans, pension plans, and twice‑annual bonus opportunities. The firm also reimburses qualifying professional qualifications, exam fees, and tuition for eligible programs, viewing professional development as a strategic investment. Employees are encouraged to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
