• Produce Material Take Off's
• Convert step files in Revit families using Inventor
• Producing Isometric drawings from Revit / CAD files
• Producing 2D drawings from Revit / CAD files
• Responsible for implementation of Isometric drawings from Revit
• Reviewing Vendor Drawings and Process P&ID's (Piping & Instrumentation Drawings).
• Produce sketch isometrics from site surveys.
• Produce Equipment Layouts and models from vendor information.
• Clash checking for pipe clashes.
• Setting up of Revit projects and creation of families within projects
• Produce 3D models of equipment, piping and supports.

Successful applicants will be engaged on medium and large-scale design projects across Life Science and Food & Beverage, sectors. They will be required to deliver piping design projects throughout, from Basis of Design right through to construction stage, working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment but should also be equally comfortable taking ownership of specific areas of design.

Owing to recent Project awards, NIRAS seeks to recruit several motivated and experienced Piping Designers to join our Process Piping Department and Project Design Teams. We offer hybrid work opportunities to operate in support of our Dublin or Castlebar Offices

• Third level piping / mechanical qualification or time served trades qualification is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Knowledge of current piping codes and standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team or on own as projects dictate.
• Experience in pharmaceutical / clean room piping design, specifications and construction.
• 3D Point cloud scanning
• Experience levels ranging 5- 10+ years’ piping design experience -ideally pharma, food and beverage, semiconductor or advanced highly regulated process manufacturing Industries.
• Proficiency in Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Word, Excel etc.
• Proven experience in 3D Design required – Plant 3D knowledge an advantage.
