Establish governance policies and controls for customer-generated data, including telemetry, usage events, and user-generated content (UGC) within Trimble’s SaaS products.
Define roles and responsibilities (e.g., domain stewards, data product managers, engineering leads) for governing customer-produced data.
Partner with Product and Engineering to embed governance by design early in the development lifecycle.
Lead metadata documentation and data lineage tracking for in-product customer data flows, from collection to storage, analytics, and model training.
Contribute to customer-facing trust narratives by aligning internal data handling practices with Trimble’s external Trust Center messaging.
Design and implement frameworks for customer consent, data minimization, and classification of sensitive customer data.
Drive readiness for customer data audits and support data subject access requests (DSARs), compliance reviews, and data risk assessments.
Collaborate with the AI Governance Working Group to ensure ethical use of customer-generated data in AI/ML model development and monitoring.
