Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and promote innovation within the municipal engineering team
Lead, coordinate and delegate a variety of Municipal projects to multiple work teams working in multiple locations.
Collaborate with others on the development and execution of the Municipal Division strategic business plan.
Work directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and/or projects, potentially on-site in a staff augmentation setting.
You will anticipate client needs, biases, and preferences and tailor communication and work output accordingly.
You will plan, direct, and coordinate program and/or project so that projects move forward within the prescribed time frames and budgets.
Identify potential risks and challenges, develop risk mitigation strategies, and resolving issues that may arise during project execution.
Lead and collaborate with others on business development activities for new and existing clients. This typically includes the following activities: plans, leads and participates in client meetings, networking events, pursuits, proposals, and project execution.
Negotiate contracts including scope and fee, and manage the execution of the contract.
Establish and maintain relationships with municipal clients, understand their needs, and propose services and/or solutions to address their needs.
Develop project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor expenditures to ensure cost control.
Serve as a mentor to other Municipal team staff.
Prepare or coordinate preparation of project / client correspondence and documentation.
Maintain open and effective communication with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Present proposals, program information, and projects to client staff, elected officials, and the public.

Our preferred candidate would have experience in managing municipal CIP programs and projects, clients, and staff in this market
Understanding of compliance with relevant municipal codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school,
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, client staff, elected officials, and agency contacts
A history in delivering projects with positive customer service experiences
Registration as a professional engineer (or the ability to obtain registration within six months) and
Understanding of alternative funding sources for municipal projects, and ability to secure funding.
Ability to work in the posted locations.
Ability to work 40 hours a week.
