The role involves performing maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and welding & fabrication on all types of equipment to ensure safe working conditions, while operating with limited direction and a solid knowledge base for preparation, installation, and upkeep.
Responsibilities include safely operating heavy‑duty equipment and specialty tools, troubleshooting and diagnosing component issues, using cutting torches and welders, maintaining a clean and orderly shop, completing repair orders, and communicating professionally with supervisors and teammates.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment, be proficient at reading schematics and manuals, hold a valid driver's license with a clean record (CDL desired), possess welding experience, and be able to pass a drug test.
The position also requires adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations, prompt reporting of hazards, the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and may involve operating a company vehicle for field service repairs as well as performing any other assigned duties.
