The Clerk will provide administrative support, greet and direct visitors, and handle calls and emails, playing an integral role in the strength and service of the organization while assisting both plant operations and sales functions.
- Provide administrative support to plant operations and sales.
- Handle telephone contacts professionally and assist with customer inquiries and product pricing.
- Enter quotations, orders, shipments, invoices, receipts, consumption, and production data into the ERP system.
- Maintain working knowledge of company products and office procedures.
- Create purchase orders, prepare packing slips, and print bills of lading.
- Call customers daily to obtain directions and schedule driver drop‑offs; prepare Google Maps directions and estimated delivery times.
- Notify loaders of loads requiring certification, obtain heat numbers, download state certifications, attach to BOL, and send to contractors.
- Sort incoming mail and file documents.
- Prepare UPS shipments.
- Pack folders or scan documentation for year‑end file preparation.
- Assist in planning and scheduling shipments, inter‑company transfers, walk‑in sales, customer pick‑ups, credit and collection inquiries, and basic quoting.
- Communicate with yard and truck drivers via phone or radio.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess 2–3 years of administrative or office experience in a manufacturing setting, along with demonstrated customer service experience at all organizational levels. Required competencies include proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, ERP systems, project management, multitasking, deadline management, and strong verbal and written communication.
- Cross‑train to understand all clerk responsibilities and fill in as needed.
