Environmental Project Manager

Description

• Technical Execution: Analyze environmental data, support remediation strategies, and contribute to technical deliverables.
• Environmental Field Investigation & Assessment: Perform groundwater and soil sampling, oversee drilling operations, and conduct Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments (approximately 80% field-based).
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and basic technical reports.
• Participate in client meetings and assist with proposal development.
• Project Coordination: Scope projects, develop budgets, manage vendors, and support up to 20 active projects simultaneously.
• Client Interaction: Assist with proposal development, provide project updates, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors for drilling and remediation tasks.
• Lead and execute field investigations and sampling activities.
• Support senior project managers in managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal QA/QC standards.

Requirements

• Technical Skills: Environmental remediation, site investigation, groundwater and soil sampling, regulatory compliance, and report writing.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Certifications: OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER required; PG, PE, QISP, or GIT preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience: 4–6 years in environmental consulting, with at least 1 year in project coordination or junior PM role.
• Field Expertise: Strong background in field investigations (80% field-based work).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced degree (MS) and technical writing proficiency are a plus.
• Strong client service orientation and business development mindset.
