Tasks

-Ensure search criteria and filters help data consumers find relevant data. -Review and refine the catalog establishment process for relevancy and usability. -Implement and enforce data classification policy and best practices. -Ensure metadata is accurately linked and updated for critical data elements. -Use data cataloging tools and metadata repositories to document and organize data assets. -Own and set the baseline for the Business Glossary and Data Dictionary with Information Service (IS) team. -Through establishing data validations and communication with data owners, ensure data is accurately categorized and classified for consistent application across the organization. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Guide data profiling and quality assessment processes. -Establish and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge on relevant data models, operating standards, policies, and rules to business users, Data Analysts, and Data Engineers. -Address issues identified by data users in the Business Glossary and Data Dictionary to ensure data relevancy and discoverability. -Collaborate with subject matter experts for data discovery—to locate the required analytical data in the source systems, ensuring the correct data is made available to end users and simplifying data engineering processes for IS counterparts. -Collaborate with the Information Security team and data owners to define, co-own, and enforce data classification (E.g. Contents, sensitivity, value) policy. -Provide profiling information and data lineage to all data users to establish end-user trust in the data that is made available to them.

What You Bring

-An undergraduate degree in computer science, information management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. -A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Data Governance and/or Data Management or analysis working with non-residential construction data and related processes -An ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision. -Experience with SQL and data modeling tools is a plus. -Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams. -Committed to following a standard intake and prioritization process. -Knowledge in SAP is a plus. -An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to identify complex problems and discuss resolutions clearly and in nontechnical terms. -Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data. -Certifications in Data Governance or Data Management (e.g., DAMA, CDMP, DCAM) is considered an asset. -Strong support experience and excellent documentation skills. -Experience creating and implementing data standards in systems used by construction companies, including construction schedules from P6.
