- A completed Diploma in Business Administration or in a related field with at least 6 years of senior administrative experience in any levels of government or senior administrative work in large corporations, including clerking or working with parliamentary procedure.
- Degree in Administrative Law, Business, Commerce, Political Science or Public Administration and at least 4 years of senior administrative experience in any levels of government or senior administrative work in large corporations, including clerking or working with parliamentary procedure, OR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with well-developed leadership abilities.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
- Experience in project management is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), Access to Information Act and Protection of Privacy Act , parliamentary meeting rules and experience working with interpreting and applying legislation to government environments is required.
- Demonstrated research and organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to remain calm in stressful, high-pressure public meeting situations, tact and diplomacy, and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
