The role is responsible for developing product sales across a defined geographical area and achieving set sales budgets, covering the North East of England.
Key responsibilities include promoting the company professionally, developing a strategic network of key contractors, and securing project business for the Civils product portfolio. The incumbent will manage key projects from start to completion with regular updates, collaborate with specification, developer, key‑account and wider Polypipe teams, and maintain close relationships with internal sales, technical and commercial departments.
Additional duties involve generating technical sales enquiries and converting them into orders, maintaining technical competence across the full Civils range, growing the supply chain through key merchant groups, reporting market conditions and competitor activity, and maintaining a managed project log with weekly sales forecasts.
The successful candidate will have commercial and technical sales experience, a proven record of developing new and existing business, excellent negotiation skills, the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and strong IT skills including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. A valid UK driving licence is required.
