Machinists will operate manual equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, performing cutting, drilling, turning, and finishing operations on metal components. They must read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions, and use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and surface finishes. All tasks are performed in a safety‑first environment, adhering to PJHA, observation processes, and company safety guidelines.
Candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in Machine Technology is preferred but not required. A minimum of five years of machining experience, strong technical drawing interpretation skills, and proficiency with precision measuring instruments are essential. The role also requires the ability to maintain personal tools, complete administrative duties such as time accounting and work order completion, and communicate effectively with team members.
The job demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand or move for extended periods, and work at heights using ladders or step stools. Employees must operate hand and power tools, forklifts, and other machining equipment safely, and may be exposed to loud noise, fumes, heat, cold, and vibration. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
The position offers an hourly wage of $32.31–$36.80, paid weekly on Fridays, and includes comprehensive benefits from day one, such as health, vision, dental coverage, retirement plans, and employee perks. Workers receive company‑provided safety apparel, uniforms, and the opportunity for advancement and training in a cutting‑edge facility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 PM–6:30 AM, with the expectation to cover holidays and weekends as needed.
