What you would be doing

  • Monitor invoice adjustments due from vendors
  • Process ‘Final Account Statements’ due to residents
  • Participate in new vendor setup, annual 1099 statements, vendor on-boarding and the setup of accounts for new acquisitions
  • Oversee petty cash cards including new user maintenance, reconciliation, and funding
  • Compile Replacement Reserve reimbursement packages to the lenders
  • Assist Property Accountants, Accounting Manager, Controller, and Community Managers with any requests
  • Ensure timely payment of all invoices
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures related to cash disbursements are followed
  • Follow up with Community Managers on missing and/or incomplete invoices
  • Answer vendor and Community Manager inquiries regarding payment status
  • Communicating in a professional manner with employees, vendors, and company contacts.
  • Mail signed checks to vendors or upload payment files to the AvidXchange

  • Detail orientated with proficiency in composing and proofing materials
  • 3-5 years experience in accounts payable with the following skills:
  • Understand accounting theories, principles, and practices of the following:
  • Effective use of time management with the ability to work independently
  • Computer proficiency, with thorough knowledge of Excel
  • Familiarity with OneSite – RealPage Residential Property Management Software preferred
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and research
  • Minimum – HS Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and recommend solutions as they relate to accounting
  • Property management experience desired
