We are seeking a Global Construction and Commissioning Leader (GSI) who will oversee the C&C function worldwide, ensuring that each region has the capabilities, resources, processes and tools to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
The C&C scope covers civil works, erection, testing and commissioning for all GSI projects, including the management of subcontractors and consortium partners, and spans both ITO and OTR activities.
The function defines, documents and deploys standard processes and reference solutions, captures lessons learned from projects and drives continuous improvement across the organization.
The leader directly manages central C&C and Center of Excellence teams, provides functional leadership to regional construction teams, and ensures coaching and development plans for leadership skills and construction expertise.
Responsible for the global resource strategy aligned with the S&OP process, the role establishes long‑term resource plans per region, handles recruitment, training, partnerships and subcontracting, and coordinates cross‑regional resource allocations.
Works closely with regional teams and the digital/DT group to define and roll out the appropriate tools that enable efficient and professional construction and commissioning.
Oversees safety, quality, delivery, cost and competitiveness metrics, arbitrates resource allocations, ensures proper reporting of quality issues, and promotes sharing of lessons learned across regions.
Acts as the primary champion of environment, health and safety, fostering a strong EHS culture, ensuring risk assessments and mitigation are applied by all employees and contractors.
The position reports to the GSI COO, involves frequent international travel, requires fluent English, offers no relocation assistance, and supports GE Vernova’s mission to decarbonize the energy sector.
