10+ years
Advanced knowledge of tunnel construction methods and support system designs: TBM (pressurized closed face and open), roadheader, drill and blast, sequential excavation, etc.
Experience with international tunneling standards and practices
Experience planning and directing field investigations, engineering analyses, report preparation, design preparation, and/or field construction phase services
Advanced degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
California Registration in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering
Experience managing teams using industry-standard analysis and design software such as SAP2000, AutoCAD, FLAC, GeoStudio, and/or other related analysis tools
California Professional Engineering license
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in tunnel engineering, geotechnical engineering, or geological engineering for large-scale underground projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and and/or education
Published research or technical papers in tunneling or related fields
