What you would be doing

Review brochures, bulletins, letters, technical specifications, and product labels to ensure conformance with current code approvals and compliance.
Attend and participate in events organized by related associations to promote IKO products.
Coordinate and conduct product testing, including arranging samples for large and small-scale testing, observing tests, scheduling, and reviewing results.
Maintain and update the database of current code approvals and compliance reports for IKO products and systems.
Produce detailed technical reports documenting product performance.
Verify that IKO Commercial products and systems are manufactured in accordance with current codes and approval requirements by working with quality assurance, R&D, product management, and plant teams.
Ensure accessibility of approval and compliance reports to authorized personnel.
Collaborate with R&D and other departments to ensure smooth product approval and compliance processes, including preliminary testing.
Assist sales and marketing teams with code and compliance-related inquiries from contractors, specifiers, and engineers.
Periodically review and update the status of product and system approvals and compliance in the database.

Previous experience in the building materials industry is an asset.
Familiarity with Building Envelope and/or Commercial Roofing and/or Wall Systems.

Some travel is required
Self-starter with the ability to develop and drive strategy.
Work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, interpret, and utilize code listings to ensure compliance and create competitive advantages.
3+ years of experience in a related position
Strong understanding of Canadian & US Codes & Standards such as ATSM, ULC, CSA, etc.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to interface at all levels of the organization both internally and externally, strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
