The Accommodation Manager will support the day‑to‑day operations of Lumis Living’s Leicester property, working closely with the General Manager to ensure resident well‑being, high service standards and efficient facility management. The role requires strong customer service, organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced student environment.
Key duties include being the first point of contact for students, handling queries and complaints, assisting with check‑in and check‑out, and organising community‑building events. The manager also supports the General Manager with building maintenance, health‑and‑safety compliance, maintenance request coordination, and monitoring occupancy and rental targets. Administrative responsibilities cover managing communications, maintaining accurate resident and financial records, and assisting with rent collection and deposit management. Collaboration with housekeeping, maintenance staff and junior team members is essential, as is providing feedback and support.
The ideal candidate has experience in property management, hospitality or student accommodation, strong communication and problem‑solving abilities, and familiarity with property‑management software and basic finance processes. Knowledge of Leicester’s student housing market and prior team‑supervisory experience are desirable. Compensation ranges from £35k to £40k, includes a discretionary performance bonus, a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career progression.
