Senior Consultant - Environmental Approvals, Closure & Management

Description

The Senior Environmental Consultant will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and apply environmental expertise to a variety of sectors. This role also involves collaborating with the national EAC&M Group and other multidisciplinary specialists across the firm.

• Provide best‑practice advice on environmental impact assessment and management.
• Manage environmental approvals projects across multiple industries.
• Support development and implementation of team business plans and strategies.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal SLR team members.
• Deliver projects within multidisciplinary teams and produce high‑quality reports.
• Conduct occasional field assessments and site walk‑overs.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field and have 4‑8 years of experience in consulting, industry, or regulatory roles. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary projects, understand WA and Commonwealth legislation, and communicate effectively is essential, along with Australian work rights.

• Hold a relevant environmental degree and 4‑8 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrate leadership on multidisciplinary projects and client management.
• Possess knowledge of WA and Commonwealth environmental legislation and standards.
• Experience in linear infrastructure, mining/resources, renewables, power, or agribusiness sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Australian citizenship or legal right to work in Australia.
