As Platform Manager, you’ll be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of the SCADA platform, specifically the transition from the current SCADA system to the New NGET SCADA solution.

Additional responsibilities will include maintaining service level agreements, developing custom scripts for system automation, overseeing release management, conducting rigorous testing, and contributing to the long-term roadmap of the SCADA platform.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the system effectively supports the operational needs of the Electricity Transmission network while enhancing safety, reliability, and efficiency.

We’re currently looking for an Operational Technology (OT) Platform Manager to manage our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, which controls the real-time operation of the electricity transmission system, ensuring safety and system security.

With a STEM background, you’ll have experience in managing SCADA systems or similar operational technology platforms. Experience of the utility or energy sector would be advantageous, but not essential.

Previous experience of developing and managing service level agreements and performance metrics is key as is proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and process improvements.

You’ll have a strong understanding of SCADA architecture, data acquisition, and control systems and be familiar with software release management processes and tools.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders on an international level to ensure the successful implementation and management of the SCADA platform. You’ll also have experience of leading a technical team and possess strong problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
