In this position you will diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles, ensuring each one leaves the shop road‑ready and compliant with safety standards. You will conduct routine maintenance, safety inspections, and troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues that directly support critical operations.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment
- Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and report equipment deterioration
- Inspect, remove, and replace tires
- Operate tools and machinery following safety procedures
- Ensure shop equipment and tools are safe and functional
- Maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area
- Assist with inventory management and M5 program reporting
- Follow schedules, technical manuals, and maintenance guidelines
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Prioritize workload and meet time‑sensitive deadlines
- Exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects repetitively
- Coordinate multiple limbs while sitting or standing
- Perform repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
- Apply proper lifting techniques
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Use personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety‑toed boots, gloves, reflective vest, eye protection, and hard hat
- Work around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts

The work environment requires flexibility, as duties are performed inside and outside under all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and may involve exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and hazardous substances. Physical demands include moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, and the use of personal protective equipment in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
- Hold a valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certificate or be a Level 3 apprentice
- Possess 3–5 years of relevant work experience
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Own basic hand tools and be willing to acquire additional tools as needed
- Knowledge of tools required for vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Self‑starter capable of working in a team or independently
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving, and decision‑making
- Read, write, and comprehend reports and related documents
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Perform moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, and related physical activities
- Exposure to dampness, humidity, toxic chemicals, exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuel
- Physically capable of lifting at least 50 pounds as needed
